Inspirational Video

http://www.blu-tack.co.uk/filmmaker/showcase/53

This video is great!!! love the quirkiness and the use of hands...we were thinking of using the tagline 'The world is in your hands' so by focussing on this in the video will link it all together

Demo Video's

We will be creating demo videos on how to use the globe for the pupils, teachers and parents.

We really like the intro to this video and will be using it as inspiration....

Inspirational Packaging

Having spoke to the designers of this packaging (Tinder & Sparks) we gained some insight into how we could develop our packaging to improve it. We also really like the childlike and eco-friendly messages that this exudes.

Owl 100% Recycled Deluxe Compu-Backpack

We have been thinking about extending the brand into new and exciting new products and would really like to design a backpack that the globe can not only be carried in, but can be used to go to school or carry everyday objects. We also want to incorporate some extra technology to make the bag something special that reflects the brand

As we predicted, it seems 2009 is becoming the year of the great green push in our industry. Leeds is again up front with a number of functional and stylist additions to their Owl line of 51% & 100% recycled material bags, portfolios and totes (see certificate from Leeds website).
One of the new items is the Owl 100% Recycled Deluxe Compu-Backpack. Made from 100% post-consumer recycled material (product label affirms claim) the backpack holds most 17″ laptops.
The backpack has a large main compartment with built-in laptop sleeve, allowing access to the laptop from top or through side zippered access pocket. The Recycled Deluxe Compu-Backpack also boasts a media pocket and headphone port.
If you see a trend in the 2009 green totes from Norwood, Leeds and Gemline, you are not alone. These items are being manufactured to target young people of school age and future forward technology companies, two of the largest segments of our industry for green items.

STAGE 2

Well after a long first semester juggling two projects, we have taken the ecoglobe project through to stage 2. This means implementing any of our recommendations made in stage 1 and we are excited by the prospect of helping ecoglobe take off as a brand!!

We will be documenting any further research through this blog...
